Everyone loves the cartoon cat: Garfield!
For people who are looking for a gift which
is out of the ordinary, Montblanc created the Scenium Artist Packaging
at the beginning of 2005: an elegant writing-instrument set from
the Scenium collection in a valuable box, designed by famous artists

The creator of the well-known cartoon figure Garfield has designed
three different Garfield motifs exclusively for Montblanc.

Jim Davis created the comic strip GARFIELD, which debuted in newspapers
in 1978. Newspapers all over the world picked up the strip and today
it is the most widely syndicated comic strip in the world, read by
263,000,000 people daily.
Jim Davis describes Garfield as “a human in a cat suit.” Davis
contends people like Garfield because he says and does the things
humans would like to do if only they could get away with it. Garfield
hates Monday, exercise, and work; he loves lasagne, catnaps, and
TV. Garfield thinks highly of himself, but underneath his selfish
exterior is a cat who loves his teddy bear, is protective of his
doggy-pal, Odie, and is begrudgingly thankful for his owner, Jon
Arbuckle.

Jim Davis, the creator of Garfield is a
pen aficionado. Said Davis, “It
was an honour for me to create art work for Montblanc.” Davis
penned three comic strips, all exclusively for the Montblanc Jim
Davis Scenium Artist Packaging featuring the themes love, friendship
and thanks. Each strip serves as a separate motif for a valuable
gift box, that when opened, displays the comic strip, and two writing
instrument, a roller ball pen and ballpoint pen from the Montblanc
Scenium Collection. The gift box doubles as an elegant desk accessory,
certain to be a collectible treasure for the recipient.
